So you're interested in joining the team or you want to know more about Dragon Boat? Dragon Boat is a team water sport with traditional Chinese roots. The boat holds 22 people during races. There are 20 paddlers total with 10 rows of 2 paddlers each, on the left and right sides, the last 2 people are the steersman and the drummer. In the picture above you can see the drummer and 8 rows of paddlers. Dragon Boat requires a lot of teamwork and dedication, and while we welcome everybody to come out and try it, you may find that it just isn't for you. The team welcomes new members almost all year round, but we will close off practices when a race is approaching to focus up.
